Just before the beginning of the Year of the Snake and the craziness that is Fashion week, I made a trip to Chinatown to pay a visit to the Mahayana Buddhist temple.

3 for 2013

2013. Another chance to get it right and another chance to outdo ourselves and the year before.

Yesterday was day 3 of 2013, so I took the time to think about and write down my 3 New Year’s resolutions (4 just didn’t sound right.) Once you publish something, you’re held accountable for it. Here’s to hoping these resolutions will make me a better student, entrepreneur and person.

More than just a contest

Around Thanksgiving, I applied for a Learn Chinese contest so I would have the chance to win Chinese lessons at the China Institute here in New York. We were asked to submit an image or essay about why we want to learn Chinese. I sent both an image and essay and a couple weeks later found out I was one of three finalists. It was then time to post it on Facebook for the public to vote and ultimately choose the winner.
