SRO 4.0

Sarah Robb O’Hagan is now 40 years old-hence SRO 4.0- but instead of me having to apologize for mentioning that-number-we-do-not-speak-of (age), I will share with you her great achievements and advice. For those who don’t know her, she is: “Former President of Gatorade. Incoming President of Equinox. Wife and Mum of team Robb O’Hagan. Proud Kiwi American. Energized by my kids, inspired by my work.” (taken…

It was pouring (still) when my friend and I got to John Hancock Tower in Boston for the Women In Business and Make it Happen Magazine Kickoff Party (9/28/12). This was a small get together with just a fraction of the attendees before the actual convention. Here, I was able to meet some lovely ladies/peers (details in upcoming posts-stay tuned). It was amazing to see so many…

The weekend started off cloudy and rainy (the opposite of what I was hoping for) Friday morning . I was still determined to get a box of macarons for someone I was going to be seeing during my…

TILWIT- the beginning

This post is the beginning of the TILWIT series: Things I’m Learning While I’m Twenty-something. 21 to be exact. I once met a lovely woman while I was volunteering 7 months ago in the city. She…

After a long busy day of running errands, attending presentations/lectures and meeting people in the city/on campus this past Thursday, I went for a run. At first, I didn’t feel like it but I’m glad I did, as it proved to be the perfect ending to a productive day. As I walked to my running start point, I passed two women having a conversation and…

Heart, Smarts, Guts and Luck

So which one is it? Heart– like Howard Schultz of Starbucks? Smarts– like Billionaire investor Warren Buffett? Guts-like Richard Branson of Virgin or Luck-like Tony Hsieh of Zappos?

Test Yourself

Found out about this Enneagram test (pronounced “ANY-a-gram”) from one of many  Ernestine Fu interviews. Yep that’s her on the cover of Forbes and she wasn’t even 21 at the time! No big deal…

Modus Operandi

“Describe yourself in 14 words.” This is obviously a lot harder than it sounds. I mean, asking someone to describe themselves in just 3 words is difficult enough… I read this somewhere and decided to do this. Here’s what I came up with:

Biking Bliss

For years, I’ve been running along the Hudson River next to bikers in their spandex gear, shiny helmets and glistening sunglasses. To me, biking didn’t really seem like a workout and it didn’t seem fair they could go faster and farther than I could on foot. For me biking was a leisure sport done in cute clothes. Boy was I wrong.
