Q: HOW DO I SET UP FOR BREATHWORK?
Suggested for pre and post session set up and care here
Q: WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
A: Breathwork is an umbrella term for various types of conscious breathing practices, however the Breathwork I facilitate is a combination of an active breathing meditation technique (Pranayama) that facilitates emotional release through a 2 part breath combined with energy healing. It is efficient, effective and productive. It helps to create emotional shifts, changing emotional default settings, connecting you to your intuition and helping you tap into your creativity, open your heart and increase gratitude and self-love. With the rising popularity of Breathwork, you will come across many different types and different facilitators. The Breathwork I am referring to has you lying down doing a connected circular breathwork. I encourage you to find a facilitator that you resonate with as everyone has a different style and energy of guidance.
Q: WHEN SHOULD I GET STARTED WITH BREATHWORK?
A: If you’ve been curious about it, there’s no better time than now. Don’t over think, just do it. It doesn’t matter what is happening in your life or where you’re at in life. It’s a different experience for everybody and different every single time. If you’ve done it, you already know but if you haven’t then try it and find out for yourself. It would be my honor to guide you. I believe that the breath is the most underrated tool that we have access to on a daily basis!!
Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
A: Breathwork is something that cannot be described with words, but something you have to experience. However, some examples of what you may experience:
– deep healing of grief, traumas, emotional and creative blocks
– massive stress relief and deep relaxation
– greater self love
-relief from physical pain
-deep inner peace
-overwhelming feelings of joy
-feeling of connectedness and empowerment
and so much more!
Q: IS IT SCARY?
A: Some people may find the idea of this breathwork scary not because it actually is, but because it is “work.” Everyone has their own experience depending on their intention and level of unprocessed emotions, default settings and patterns, and personal experiences (depression, anxiety, addiction, etc). It may be “scary” to some because when doing the breathing, you are confronted with things you might have been avoiding or ignoring for quite some time. If you have any pre-existing conditions, I ask that you consult your doctor if you’re not sure and to trust what your body needs.
Q: HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO DO IT TO BE HEALED?
A: Healing is an ongoing process and lifelong journey. There are not “set” amount of times and there is always energy to be cleared. I recommend at least 3 sessions to really crack your heart open and start to do the work in your inner world. I also offer coaching sessions to provide forwarding action and to keep you accountable, in flow and inspired in between sessions. I found that pairing coaching with Breathwork is an accelerating combination. You don’t need to be on this journey on your own.
Q: I’M REALLY GLAD I DID A BREATHWORK SESSION AND UNDERSTAND THE POWER IT HAS. IS THERE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME YOU RECOMMENDATION IN BETWEEN SESSIONS?
A: You can do it whenever you feel called to on your own. Remember there are so many other types of Breathwork that you can try too. If you want to go deeper I encourage you to practice with a group or in a 1:1 session with a certified facilitator that you trust. There is no too soon or too late. I will be offering 1:1 breathwork healing sessions again soon!
Q: IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN PARTICIPATE IN BEFORE DIVING IN DEEPER WITH A 1:1 SESSION?
A: You can book a free consultation call with me so that we can chat about what you’d like to work on and what I recommend for you. I also host private group breathwork sessions, please email me or find me on Instagram to stay up to date on that.
Q: WHAT CAN I DO TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM UP IN BETWEEN SESSIONS?
A: I recommend meditating to tune into your self/your body + journaling to check in with your thoughts and release them on a daily basis.
Q: CAN I DO THE BREATHING ON MY OWN?
A: Sure- though people find it more powerful when breathing with a group or if there is something holding space for you. It is similar to working out at home. You can of course do it, but working out with others or with individualized energy/attention is more efficient and/or powerful and deeper.
Q: IF I DO THE BREATHING ON MY OWN, HOW LONG DO I BREATHE FOR?
A: 7 minutes is enough to get that energy moving but feel it out! Listen to your body. You will know what is right or best for you.
Q: ARE THERE CERTAIN HEALTH CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PREVENT ME FROM DOING THIS TYPE OF BREATHWORK?
A: If you are unsure, please consult a doctor before booking your session. You are responsible for your health and what is best for your body/feels right for you. I do not recommend it for women who are in their final trimester of pregnancy.
