For the past few years I’ve been reading the self help blog Marc and Angel. Their newsletters and articles have really helped me through dark times and forced me to think about things that have ultimately shaped my value system and mindset.
Whenever I meet someone who thinks they know a lot about themselves, or I reach a level of deep conversation with someone, I like to ask them some of these questions. You know, your usual light conversation 😀
I thought it would only be fair to share with you my answers.
Here they are: 40 Questions that Will Quiet Your Mind answered by me, but taken from from Marc and Angel’s site.
Dreamer motivated by conviction not recognition, fearful of mediocrity, eager for a full life.
Love. For what I do. Who I am. The life I live. Who I’m with. The people around me.
The fear one must overcome to achieve greatness.
Making things more (emotionally) difficult for myself and others involved.

What does your future self want you to do? What does the impact of what you’re doing have one week from now, one month from now?
Happiness is a feeling of being able to sleep at night interrupted, because you did everything you could and wanted to that day. Happiness emanates from within and shines onto others. Happiness is fleeting.
Never wear makeup besides mascara and some lipstick or tinted balm.
Fearless and thoughtful people, synonymous to considerate and brave people.
It’s warm and radiating. It shines and inspires awe.
(The three different times I tried answering this question prompted 3 different responses).
First time: Clouds in the sky. Something about east coast clouds that are very plump and fluffy against the light blue sky.
The second time: A red sun setting in the sky.
The third time: The inside of this café (Creperie Le Terrace)
I’m never bored. I can always find something to do!
My imagination and capacity for hope.
My past self, and the decisions I made in moments of weakness, and anyone who might have been a part of those phases.
Trust your gut, always. and your health -especially mental health- comes first.
Happiness is not dependent on someone else.
Love is not something you do beause you have to, it’s because you want to, and almost can’t help it.
My rare specimen and all of the other rare specimens in the world that make the world a better place. Simply put: people who help make this world a better place.
To be loved and love someone, and for that love to inspire others. To that love to be the kind of love you hear about in 90s songs.
For them to remember me as a brave, ambitious person, full of love.
Super random but succulents- theyre cute, small but never to be underestimated.
Life is too short to tolerate things and people that are not good for you. Know your self worth and move on.
Falling down the steps/stairs and breaking something. Fell a few steps down subway steps once and broke my shoe! Never again.
You can choose to be positive, more responsible and more ethical than what the news says or whatever negativity exists.
My mother’s cooking, home cooked and hand made food.
Talking to random people and people who are older or in higher level positions than I am.
my struggles. I think we all go through them to come to the same conclusions.
The way nature dies and grows again. Even if its a sprout in the middle of the sidewalk. Whenever a stranger says some kind words to me via an email or message. Whenever I do something I thought I couldn’t do. Whenever I read something I thought I was the only one was thinking that.
That I will be successful so long as I don’t give up on myself.
To outdo yourself. To be better than you were before. To make someone smile.
I don’t feel like I’ve lived a long enough life to choose from my memories so far.
That it’s only just the beginning.
Being in the arms of someone I love, and if not that, the alternative of being in a very comfortable seat/bed.
Still trying to figure this one out. The world is difficult to speak for.
