People’s Choice Awards 2017, my first time!

I went to the People’s Choice Awards a few weeks ago and experienced an Award Show in real life! Here’s the vlog showing my experience from an audience perspective. Rowena and I were maybe…  two out of maybe 10 Asians in the whole show, which inspires me even more to keep creating, keep meeting people and keep going for my dreams.   See you on…

CAPE 25th anniversary gala

I’ve been to a fair share of galas during my NYC days but last night’s event at Belasco Theatre was unlike anything I had experienced before. CAPE (Coalition Of Asian Pacifics In Entertainment), was celebrating its 25th anniversary with a very star studded line up of guests spanning across multiple generations. Like most galas it included red carpet arrivals/ interviews and a silent auction but instead of a stuffy dinner where everyone…

How to heal from a break-up

I started off this week feeling like I had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I went into work feeling positive and excited to dive in, rather than dreading it. It’s been over a month since my break-up and today was the first time I felt emotionally free of the heavy heart that comes with a separation. Now that I’m clear from the mind-funk I was in for…

On My Radar: New Apartment Furnishings

I’m still getting settled into my apartment on the westside. Believe it or not, when I moved to LA I only had 4 suitcases with me. Since then I’ve been moving around with just those 4 suitcases, a lamp and a mattress/mattress frame. Now that I’m at this place for more than just a few months, I’m making it feel more like home by furnishing…

Lucky Rice Feast LA

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Lucky Rice LA Feast at Vibiana, in DTLA. Believe it or not, this is the 4th time I’ve attended! The first one was in NYC, the ones after that were after I moved to LA. It’s kind of crazy to think how much has changed everytime I go. One thing that hasn’t changed is my obsession with discovering and…

STTA-Quarter Life reflections

I’m finally 25 after what seems like an eternity.  Here is a video of what I’ve learned so far and what continues to drive me moving forward. I’ve learned and grown so much in the short time since graduation and I can’t imagine what I’ll continue to discover in the year(s) ahead. Hope you liked the video! This video is dedicated to my rare specimen,…

My answers to 40 deep questions

For the past few years I’ve been reading the self help blog Marc and Angel. Their newsletters and articles have really helped me through dark times and forced me to think about things that have ultimately shaped my value system and mindset. Whenever I meet someone who thinks they know a lot about themselves, or I reach a level of deep conversation with someone, I like to ask…

My New Favorite Cafe in Ktown LA: Creperie Le Terrace

I’m always looking for new cafes to camp out and be productive in because I can only be so productive in the comfort of my own bed. This past weekend, I looked up places in K-town using Yelp, trying to avoid the Starbucks, Caffe Bene’s and Tom and Tom’s (the more mainstream places) when I came across Creperie Le Terrace. I chose this place because it happened to be close…

Awesome Asian American Women dinner

In the beginning of 2016, I posted this online on Twitter and Facebook. This was about 4/5 months after I moved to LA, but finding my “tribe” has been something that I’ve been on the lookout for, for as long as I can remember. I simply “put it out there” literally on the internet, so that anyone who saw it, or fit the bill would maybe,…

#CreateandCultivateDTLA

As you might’ve seen on my instagram and even snapchat, I had the pleasure of attending the Create and Cultivate conference in Downtown Los Angeles, this past weekend. I’ve been to my fair share of conferences on both coasts, and I can say, hands down, without a doubt, Create and Cultivate is one that is planned with the upmost detail and creativity. Every inch of the…
