Last night I stopped by the Baublebar pop-up shop in Soho for an evening of art, shopping and cocktails. Baublebar is one of the jewelry e-commerce sites I’ve been keeping my eye on so I thought it would be a great idea to “meet” the brand in person. Needless to say, it gave a great first impression.
I entered a colorful and beautifully laid out store excited to take a look around and see what they had to offer. It was great being able to see and feel the pieces and equally fun trying them on in person. Not to mention, there was fruit and Godiva liqueur to enjoy while doing that. My favorite was caramel liqueur on the rocks 🙂
As I walked around with my pink jewelry tray and drink in hand I was approached by a member of the Baublebar team who was able to tell me some of the great things about Baublebar and show me some of the cool features of the store!
Anna showed me how I could personalize my own jewelry- necklaces, rings you name it- in whatever way I wanted. That quickly became one of my favorite services and I was already thinking about what I would get personalized. (Maybe a present for myself for my upcoming birthday!) Check it out for yourself here
Then she showed me this magical display where you could lift a piece to see the screen flash with a fun fact and photos of how to style that piece. These are some of the Baublebar essentials. Anna mentioned the Pave links sold especially well. It was easy to see why!
I won’t always have an interactive display to tell me how to wear a piece so should I ever need any assistance I can contact the SWAT team (in person or in whatever way is most convenient) to ask for a second opinion. What does SWAT team stand for? “Service with accessorizing talent” Anna says. How cute is that!
To top it off, there was a short performance of some piano and opera singing as well as some beautiful works of art to complement the jewelry. Basically, I was surrounded by beauty. Couldn’t have asked for a better Tuesday night!
Needless to say, I was quite impressed with the brand and the event. The brands that continue to inspire and pique curiosity and wonder both on and offline are those that will make a lasting impression in this omni-channel world we find ourselves in today. There was such a thoughtfulness and smart attention to detail, from the event to the packaging, I’m not surprised that Baublebar has become a one-stop retailer foraying offline and into shoppers’ hearts.
I’ve been looking for a great wishbone necklace (has symbolic meaning for me) for the longest time and I finally got one last night. I also got a great pair of studs. You can never have too many studs- they go with everything!
Really glad I stopped by and I’m quite pleased with what I got. Thank you Anna for showing me around!
Next, I’ve got my eye on the arrow necklace…. (why? see below)
Maybe I’ll win the $1000 sweepstakes I entered last night to get some more things 😉
Whether you’re a recent grad or young professional looking for great pieces to wear in business or life, Baublebar is a great place to get great jewelry for an amazing price. I give it my seal of approval.
